"Rambler Workshops"
As of January 2026, Lawson and Paige Lynn will begin hosting film student workshops at Loyola University Chicago. Scheduled once a week, participating film students will engage in an intensive student organization in which they follow a step-by-step process of developing and producing a film. Beginning with story development and screenwriting, students will grow their knowledge and skills in film analysis, pitching, crew building, fundraising & budgeting, location scouting, cinematography, sound mixing, and post-production. Further, specific workshops on principal crew roles, including 1st & 2nd AD's, Script Supervisor, and Line Producer, will take place throughout the semester.
Lawson and Paige are collaborating with graduate students and film faculty to develop lesson plans and scheduling guest speakers for the weekly organization meetings. The objective is to create a stronger and more collaborative film community at Loyola, guided by collaboration, creativity, and passion.
January through April will be the first trial run of this organization. After the first semester of workshops, Lawson and Paige will continue to collaborate with students and faculty to enhance the workshops, and select more students to begin hosting workshops in their place after graduation in 2027.
